2014 RAM 1500 is a Hugely Efficient Full Size Pick Model

The dust has settled on efficiency figures for new 2014 truck models, and we here at Lager's of Mankato are very happy to report that the 2014 RAM 1500 is posting some of the most impressive numbers in the entire industry. RAM had stated that they wanted to make efficiency more of a priority in this already incredibly powerful model, and it appears that they have achieved that goal.

There are two engine options available on the new 1500, the standard 5.7-liter HEMI  V-8, and a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder EcoDiesel option that will be available slightly later this year. Fuel economy ratings for the EcoDiesel are not quite available yet as of this writing either.

However, there are some additional and exciting efficiency alterations as well. There is a new 8-speed transmission included on the model, which makes the HEMI V-8 as efficient as any on the market, offering 15 miles per gallon city and 22 on the highway to go along with a substantial 395 horsepower. Even in four-wheel drive mode, this model beats the F-150's fuel efficiency ratings in every category.

The most efficient engine option though, will obviously be the Pentastar V-6 engine available in the High Fuel Economy or HFE trim level, which achieves 18 miles per gallon city and 25 on the highway. This model is no slouch either, producing 305 horsepower while conserving massive amounts of fuel.
